Oishi Park, home to the Kawaguchi Natural Living Center, is a beautiful park located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the Oishi district. Along with Yagizaki Park on the southern shore, it is renowned as a lavender park, where vibrant lavender blooms from late June to mid-July, creating a picturesque scene that draws visitors from near and far.
Traditionally, Mt. Fuji climbers would purify themselves at a sacred waterfall before embarking on their ascent. After performing this ritual, they would visit the Kawaguchi Asama Shrine to pray for a safe climb.
